Updates and Freakouts

I have no clue as to what I'm doing. I'm a new author, brand spanking new. I've been a writer online for about 4 years now, playing at it, as I say. However, there comes a time to put away the play and try for the pro league. I've moved out of the sandlot and onto the big leagues as it were. Well, ok, I'm in the minors, but I'm moving on up, learning day by day and I love it so far.

Each time I get an ok, we want your story, I get goosebumps, I cry, I eat a gob of chocolate and then I get busy. Life's good for me in 2006. I shall forevermore remember it as the year I became an author.

2006 may be the year I crash and burn too, but hey, like Def Leppard's song says.

Better to Burn Out Than Fade Away.

Ok, Fine! Yes, I did say that quote for an excuse to put my fav band from the 80's. *sighs* Mmmmmmhmm. Where was I? Oh, yeah.

*crossing fingers*

Here I go into the wild black and white yonder of print/ebook and goodness knows what else. I wanted to thank Meme and Nee (Mad Cows ala Bovinas Locas as Karen says) for my two reference books, the last of which I did receive today. May my writing become enriched by them and may I learn a little something as well. Love yall!!!

I am a mad cow.. but, I'm just one of the herd.
Beware the Bovinas Locas!! Moooohahahhah

POUR SOME SUGAR ON MEEEEEEEEE! OK, sorry, couldn't help it. I will put away the air guitar and quit waving around imaginary '80's BIG hair. Yes, 2006 will be a banner year for the Jenn, where she makes the big bucks and leaves behind the world of Wally and comes over to the dark side, the Q side, the Neiman Marcus side....obey my command, I am the Dark Lord of the Stiletto...bwahhahahahaha!

I am shocked that you'd think I'd desert the Helmart. I owe my soul to the company store, dontcha know? Neiman Marcus? Don't they make cookies? What is this Stiletto thing? Are those *gasps* SHOES? Ack! No, I shall be the Barefoot Bard. The sign, No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service, shan't apply to me.. Ok, I'm wearin a shirt, but I mean really!

PYROMANIA!! *flicks her bic*

*grin* Jenn keep those shoes off! i went to a seminar given by Christina Skye and she told us that creativity flows best when we are barefoot. that the chakra for creativity is in the big toe. *blink* so papmer those feet to a predicure and let them toeseys wiggle in the breeze.

Hi there, fellow Jenn... just following the link from the McAnally's list. Congrats on your accomplishments! Sounds like you're headed in the right direction. Wish I were a published author of anything...got several stories in the hole but nothing ready. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and happy Mardi Gras (funny that you're in LA and I'm in St. Louis, MO, where right now there is massive partying going on in Soulard, which I'm being a nerd and missing, since I'm [theoretically] studying for the MCAT...)

happy writings,
jen (http://etoiline.com)
